Central Brain

Privacy policy

Last updated October 22, 2026

Central Brain is AI Matrix's internal project knowledge tool. It reads the project conversations and documents teams choose to connect, drafts decisions, changes and blockers for project leads to confirm, and answers questions with links to its sources. It is used only by AI Matrix people and individually approved accounts.

Who can sign in

Only Google accounts on an approved company domain, or personal accounts an organization admin has approved one by one. Everyone else is refused.

What we collect

  • Your name and email address from Google, to identify you.
  • Messages in Slack channels that a project lead has linked to a project, from the 30 days before linking onward. A private channel is included only after one of its members invites Central Brain into it. Once linked, everyone on that project can ask about it, even if they aren't in the channel.
  • Transcripts of Google Meet series that a project lead has linked to a project.
  • Files, text and Google Docs that people add to a project themselves.
  • Your questions to Central Brain and its answers, kept in your own chats.

What we never collect

  • Direct messages or group messages between people in Slack.
  • Private Slack channels nobody has invited Central Brain into.
  • Slack channels or meetings nobody has linked to a project, including executive meetings.
  • Meeting audio or video. Only the written transcript is read.

Who can see it

You see only the projects you belong to. Executives and admins can see across companies. Access is checked in the database before anything is searched or sent to the AI, so an answer never draws on information you can't see. Your chats are private to you unless you pin an answer to a project.

Services that process it

  • Supabase stores the data and runs sign-in.
  • Vercel hosts the app.
  • Anthropic (Claude) reads text to draft records and write answers, and Voyage AI turns text into search vectors. Both receive only the text needed for the task, through their business APIs.
  • Google and Slack are the sources described above.

We don't sell data or use it for advertising.

Google user data

Central Brain asks for extra Google access only when you use a feature that needs it: read-only Drive access to import a Google Doc you choose, and read-only Calendar and Meet access for a project lead to link a recurring meeting series. It reads only the file or the linked series, and uses it only to add that content to the project.

Central Brain's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

How long we keep it

  • Raw Slack messages are deleted after 90 days, or at once when a channel is unlinked.
  • When something is deleted at the source or by a lead, it is removed from search, and answers and pins that quoted it are cleared.
  • When you lose access to a project, your chats about it are deleted.
  • Project knowledge and confirmed records stay until a lead or admin deletes them.
